TAKE ME OUT TO POKAGON

Take me out to Pokagon, take me out to the camp.

Buy me a sweatshirt and sleeping bag;

I don’t care if my counselor’s a hag!

For it’s slap, slap, slap the mosquitoes,

Stay away from the snakes!

For it’s 1,2, 3 clean the john

And the other rakes!

                 TELL ME WHY

Tell me why the stars do shine

Tell me why the ivy twines

Tell me why the sky's so blue

And I will tell you just why I love you.

Because God made the stars to shine

Because God made the ivy twine

Because God made the sky so blue

Because God made you that's why I love you.

                THERE WAS A BEE-I-EE-I-EE

There was a bee-i-ee-i-ee, sat on a wall-i-all-i-all

And he said, “Buzz-i-uzz-i-uzz!” and that is all-i-all-i-all.

There was a boy-i-oy-i-oy, who had a stick-i-ick-i-ick

He gave that bee-i-ee-i-ee an awful lick-i-ick-i-ick.

And then that bee-i-ee-i-ee began to sting-i-ing-i-ing

He stung that boy-i-oy-i-oy like anything-i-ing-i-ing.

And then that boy-i-oy-i-oy began to yell-i-ell-i-ell.

He told that bee-i-ee-i-ee to go to way down yonder in the cornfield.

Singin’ glory, glory, glory hallelujah!

Praise the Lord in my song

Do do do do wah, do do do do wah, do do do wah.

Thinkin’ about friends…

                THE THREE BEARS

Once upon a time in an itty bitty cottage lived the three bears (cha cha cha).

One was the papa bear.
One was the mama bear.
One was the wee bear (cha cha cha)

One day they were walkin’ in the cool woods a-stalkin’

When along came a girl, a girl with blonde hair.

Her name was Goldilocks and on the door she knocks

But no one was there.  No one was there.

She walked right in and she had herself a ball

Cause she didn’t care.  She didn’t care.

Then home, home, home came the three bears.

“Someone’s been eating my porridge!” said the papa bear.

“Someone’s been eating my porridge!” said the mama bear.

“Hey babaree bear!” said the little week bear,

“Someone has broken my chair!”  (clap)

So Goldilocks, she woke up, and broke up the party and she beat it out of there.

“Bye bye,” said the papa bear.

“Bye bye,” said the mama bear.

“Bye bye,” said the wee bear.  (cha cha)

And that is the story of the three bears.

Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba

Ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba

Bye bye!

For a duck may be somebody’s mother.

A duck who lives out in the swamp

Where the weather is cold and domp.

You might think that this is the end.

Well it is.

                TITANIC

Oh, they built the ship Titanic to sail the ocean blue

And they built it so the water would come through.

But the good Lord raised his hand and said the ship would never land.

It was sad when the great ship went down.

Chorus:                           Oh it was sad.  Oh it was sad (too bad)

It was sad when the great ship went down

                              To the bottom of the…

1st Group:            Sea eee eee eee

2nd Group:           Husbands and wives,

                                Little children lost their lives

It was sad when the great ship went down (boom boom).

Oh, they were not far from England, they were not far from shore

When the rich refused to associate with the poor.

So they put them down below where they’d be the first to go.

It was sad when the great ship went down.

Repeat chorus.

Oh, they put the lifeboats out on that dark and stormy sea,

And the band struck up with “Nearer My God to Thee.”

Husbands and wives, little children lost their lives.

It was sad when the great ship went down.

Repeat chorus.

Oh, the moral of the story, as you can plainly see,

Is to wear a life preserver when you go out to sea.

Husbands and wives, little children lost their lives.

It was sad when the great ship went down.

Repeat chorus.

Oh, the moral of this tale is full of ginger ale.

For if you are rich, you should not be so frail.

For in the good Lord’s eyes you’re the same as other guys.

It was sad when the great ship went down.

Repeat chorus.

                TODAY

Chorus:                Today, while the blossoms still cling to the vine,

I’ll taste your strawberries, I’ll drink your sweet wine.

A million tomorrows shall all pass away

‘Ere I forget all the joys that were mine today.

I’ll be a dandy and I’ll be a rover.

You’ll know who I am by the song that I sing.

I’ll feast at your table, I’ll sleep in your clover.

Who cares what tomorrow shall bring.

Repeat chorus.

I can’t be contended with yesterday’s glories.

I can’t live on promises winter to spring.

Today is my moment, and now is my story –

I’ll laugh, and I’ll cry, and I’ll sing.

Repeat chorus.
