The "Time Capsule" originated in 1945, the first
year of camp.
That year, all the campers and staff wrote letters to
campers 25
years hence, and placed them in a container which was stored in
the fireplace behind a plaque. In 1970, a ceremony was held and
the
Time Capsule was opened. All the letters from 1945 were
read, and new
letters were written and again stored in the
fireplace, not to be opened
again for 25 years.
In 1981, the Time Capsule letters from 1970 were discovered
and
preserved (unfortunately, not all were recovered). The
letters were opened at the next reunion, and can be
found on the
