   The "Time Capsule" originated in 1945, the first year of camp.
That year, all the campers and staff wrote letters to campers 25
years hence, and placed them in a container which was stored in
the fireplace behind a plaque.  In 1970, a ceremony was held and
the Time Capsule was opened.  All the letters from 1945 were
read, and new letters were written and again stored in the
fireplace, not to be opened again for 25 years.

   In 1981, the Time Capsule letters from 1970 were discovered
and preserved (unfortunately, not all were recovered).  The
letters were opened at the next reunion, and can be found on the
following web pages:

  -> Campers' letters by Last Name (A-L)

  -> Campers' letters by Last Name (M-Z)

  -> Campers' letters - unknown names

  -> Counselor/Staff letters

   (Any addresses noted in the letters have been deleted.)

Crow and Barb read Time Capsule letters at the 1983 reunion.
